Our Towns: 11 Uniquely Different Destinations!
Come and Explore
The Magical Towns Of The South Burnett!
The South Burnett covers 8 towns and 6 villages. We're the home of two of Queensland's great lakes (Lake Barambah and Lake Boondooma), the Bunya Mountains and the Cherbourg Aboriginal Community.

Since 2003 we've also become Queensland's biggest wine growing region and the twin hubs of our wine industry (around Kingaroy and Murgon) are rapidly turning into Queensland's Hunter Valley.

Most of the South Burnett is located 2 to 3 hours drive north-west of Brisbane and roughly 2 hours (or less) from the Sunshine Coast in an area of surprising diversity and beauty. We're the real Australia you can drive to!

Even better - because most of our major desinations are only 15km to 30km apart - we're also very easy to explore on a day trip or a weekend.

This section of our site provides details about 11 of the most popular destinations in the South Burnett along with links to their accommodation and dining facilities, attractions and clubs/venues.

Come explore us - in person - soon!
