About the South Burnett Tourism Association

We Work Harder To Make Your Visit Enjoyable!
The South Burnett Tourism Association is the South Burnett's official regional tourism body. We have more than 100 members - including nearly all our region's Councils - and we're formally affiliated with the Fraser Coast-South Burnett Regional Tourism Board.

SBTA members are drawn from throughout the South Burnett. Our sole focus lies in promoting tourism in our region, and in helping to ensure that our visitors have a wonderful time when they come to see us.

On our web site we recommend that visitors consider SBTA members first. This is because these members ave shown - simply by joining - that they value tourists and will go out of their way to help them get the most from their stay.

All the same, our site lists every tourist amenity our region has, whether the operator is a member or not.

But if you're not an SBTA member, why not consider joining? There are many benefits to belonging that are well worth the attention of any serious tourism operator.

For instance, SBTA members:

  • can promote their special offers - for free - on our web site and have them seen by more than 6,000 intending visitors per month
  • receive preference on individual and group booking services through any of our four accredited Visitor Information Centres
  • obtain worthwhile discounts on advertising in SBTA-sponsored tourist publications
  • gain access to advertising in Tourism Queensland publications (many of which are restricted to FCSB Tourism Board members only)
  • have the opportunity to exhibit at many worthwhile tourism, trade, travel and consumer shows
  • can access the SBTA's growing library of colour photographs for the preparation of brochures and other printed material - royalty free!
  • are most welcome to attend our great bi-monthly dinner meetings (held in a different restaurant throughout the South Burnett every second month) and increase the exposure of their own business to other tourism operators
  • have the opportunity to be involved in any of the SBTA's study tours and research initiatives (most arranged at or well below true cost)
  • can enter their businesses in the annual Fraser Coast South Burnett Tourism Awards For Excellence
  • can obtain permission to use our regional tourism logos on their promotional materials and web sites, subject to complying with the display rules that apply to using the logos
  • gain the ability to help shape and influence the direction of the South Burnett's tourism industry into the 21st century
